Jeanie Linders, writer and producer of Menopause The Musical® (MTM) and The Mommies-A Musical Blog™, is the founder of the Jeanie C. Linders Fund® (JCLF).
Jeanie has always maintained that the shows are not about entertainment…but about women, which has become the philosophy of JCLF.
While Jeanie is best known for MTM, she is a passionate voice for a generation of women facing more than just hot flashes. Her work in entertainment spans three decades, but finding ways to help women connect and support one another is what she focuses on now.
Jeanie is a native of Dixon, IL, and earned her graduate degree from Northern Illinois University. Her active involvement in the arts includes work as an arts development consultant in Florida, California, North Carolina and Arkansas. She launched Orlando’s first arts complex, the ArtsMall. For 10 years, Jeanie was president/CEO of an advertising agency specializing in entertainment and hospitality accounts. Concurrently, she launched an event marketing and management firm, producing a variety of shows from A Conversation with Cary Grant to multistage music festivals.
Jeanie has worked overseas in various capacities including developing the Belize Performing and Visual Arts Consortium and taught high school in Montego Bay, Jamaica. She has served as a columnist/correspondent for media outlets including The Chicago Tribune, The Sun-Times, The Boston Globe and Variety.
In 2005, Jeanie was featured in the book Fearless Women: Midlife Portraits. In 2007, she was officially honored by Dixon, IL, President Ronald Reagan’s hometown, as an individual who has gone on to fulfill her life in meaningful ways and has made her hometown proud.
With the 10 year anniversary of Menopause The Musical® in 2011, Jeanie decided to embrace another important time in a woman’s life….being a mom. As writer and lyricist, she teamed up with Marilyn Kentz and Caryl Kristenson to develop a theatrical show unlike any other. The Mommies – A Musical Blog™ celebrates the life of mommies all over the world. With the humor of the NBC TV sitcom The Mommies, the musical version steps into the 21st Century and embraces the digital age of the life of today’s moms.
